It's the day after New Year's Day. Totally exhausted, I am sitting behind the piano. Or should I say that this is 'California dreaming'? To me, this Short Melody evokes the same image that I get from the lyrics 'Stopped into a church [...] and I pretend to pray' *. Hence the subtitle, Devotion. However you play it, make sure it is exciting and mysterious.
